UK Foreign Secretary William Hague arrives in Pakistan

The UK Foreign Secretary, Mr William Hague arrived in Islamabad earlier today, Tuesday 12 June.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The visit follows the visit made by Foreign Minister Khar to London in March and Prime Minister Gilani in May and underlines the UK’s commitment to a deep, long-term and strategic relationship between the UK and Pakistan based on mutual trust, mutual respect and mutual benefit.

During the visit, the Foreign Secretary will be discussing the strength of bilateral UK and Pakistan relations, the importance the UK attaches to the upcoming elections and the UK and Pakistan’s mutual interests in promoting stability in the region, ahead of the Kabul conference.
