The adverts are part of a new campaign to encourage more people to join the Territorial Army (TA) and give a snapshot of the work of TA soldiers serving with regulars on operations in Afghanistan.

Each advert runs for approximately 1 minute, transporting the viewer directly to the front line. You can witness first-hand how people with very similar lives to you volunteer to serve their country as a fulfilling second career. This weekend’s adverts include TA medics in action and a reservist who has swapped his BT day-job for a Chinook helicopter.

Last weekend’s adverts were also broadcast live on giant screens around the country including at Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford. If you missed them the films are available to watch on the TA LIVE YouTube channel.

TA LIVE aims to illustrate the range of exciting opportunities available to reservists and encourage more people to join the TA, which is increasing in numbers to 30,000 by 2018.

The UK’s Reserve Forces are a vital component of our Armed Forces; contributing to the public good we call defence. They have made, and continue to make, a significant contribution to the nation’s defence and security.

This next series of TA LIVE adverts will be broadcast throughout the day on ITV1 this Saturday and Sunday, 23 and 24 February.
