The Secretary of State has reappointed Kenneth Dibble as a Board Member of the Charity Commission
Kenneth Dibble has been reappointed by the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport as a Board Member of the Charity Commission for one year from 23rd March 2021 to 22nd March 2022.
Kenneth was first appointed to the Charity Commission’s Board in 2018. He has extensive expertise and experience in all aspects of charity law and the regulation of charities.
Kenneth is a qualified barrister (Lincoln’s Inn, called 1977) and holds a Master’s degree in Law from London University (University College). He also studied law at King’s College, London and the College of Law. Prior to joining the Commission and the bar he worked in banking and insurance and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He was the Commission’s Chief Legal Adviser and Legal Director between 2003 and 2018, the Director of its International Programme and member of its Executive team. He has been a Visiting Lecturer at The Business School (formerly Cass) and speaks internationally on charity regulation.
The role is remunerated at £350 per day. This reappointment has been made in accordance with the Cabinet Office’s Governance Code on Public Appointments. The process is regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. The Government’s Governance Code requires that any significant political activity undertaken by an appointee in the last five years is declared. This is defined as including holding office, public speaking, making a recordable donation or candidature for election. Kenneth Dibble has not declared any activity.
