Today International Development Secretary, Andrew Mitchell said:

“Britain is deeply concerned about the situation in Syria. I have this morning spoken to the Head of the ICRC and made clear the UK fully backs his call for immediate access to all those affected by violence and in need. The ICRC must be allowed to reach vulnerable people without delay.”
