Rosh Hashanah: Foreign Secretary’s message

Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond sends his best wishes to the Jewish community ahead of the Jewish New Year

This was published under the 2015 to 2016 Cameron Conservative government

Speaking today, the Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said:

I send my warmest wishes to the Jewish community both in the UK and around the world as they prepare to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, one of the holiest days in the Jewish calendar. The Jewish New Year is a time to reflect on the past year and prepare for the new one. I join the Jewish Community in their hope that the coming year will bring Israel and the Middle East region closer to a more peaceful and secure future.

Shana Tovah to you and to your families.
