Reul A Chuain report and safety flyer published
Two men overboard from a prawn trawler in the Sound of Rùm, Scotland, with the loss of one life.
Today, we have published our accident investigation report into the fatal man overboard of the skipper from the fishing vessel Reul A Chuain (OB915) while attempting to recover another crew member from the sea in heavy weather on 24 June 2021.
The report, available via this link, contains details of what happened and subsequent actions taken.
A safety flyer to the fishing industry summarising the accident and detailing the safety lessons learned has also been produced.
