The Prime Minister met with Prime Minister Najib of Malaysia earlier today.
A Number 10 spokesperson said:
The Prime Minister congratulated Prime Minister Najib of Malaysia on his recent election victory and both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen the economic and security partnership between Britain and Malaysia. The Prime Minister welcomed the major Malaysian investment into the Battersea power station development and set out his action to make the UK a top destination for inward investment.
As part of efforts to boost bilateral trade, they also agreed on the importance of reinvigorating efforts to agree a free trade deal between the EU and Malaysia. They discussed the ongoing situation in Egypt and agreed on the importance of returning to a democratic civilian led government as soon as possible.
