The southbound carriageway of the A404 will be resurfaced between the A4130 Applehouse Hill junction and A404(M) junction 9b to ensure it remains in a safe and serviceable condition.

For the safety of road workers and road users, the A404/A404(M) will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from the A308 Bisham Roundabout to junction 9b of the A404(M) from Wednesday 14 October until Friday 30 October 2015. Work will take place on weeknights only.

A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M40, M25 and M4. Non-motorway traffic should use the A4155 through Henley-on-Thames and the A4130 to Maidenhead.

Drivers using this section of the A404/A404(M) are advised to plan their journeys and allow some extra time to reach their destinations.

All work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible. Work has been carefully programmed but is subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Live traffic information is available on Highways England’s website and mobile app, and drivers can also listen to traffic bulletins on local radio for updates.
