Up to £100 million available in funding to develop low carbon, low emission technologies

The Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), in partnership with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and Innovate UK is investing up to £100m in collaborative research and development funding to support the development of low carbon, low emission automotive propulsion technologies.

If you are a business working in this area, the APC is looking for projects to demonstrate technologies that:

  • deliver significant reductions in vehicle CO2 or other emissions compared to current best-in-class technologies
  • align with Automotive Council Technology Group roadmaps with respect to advanced propulsion solutions
  • develop the UK’s supply chain in the field of low carbon vehicle propulsion technology

Projects must be collaborative and business-led and include both a vehicle manufacturer (or a tier 1 supplier) and an SME partner.

This competition opens for applicants on 10 November 2014:

  • deadline for registration to the competition is noon on 7 January 2015
