The bridge maintenance on the A406 will be carried out by Transport for London (TfL) and is expected to last through to the end of September.

It will be carried out in phases and will involve a series of weekend closures of the link roads to and from the M11.

Highways England Asset Manager Howard Last said:

We have been working with TfL to minimise the disruption during their bridge maintenance scheme. I advise drivers planning to use the M11 to plan their journeys to allow extra time if required.

The first closure will involve the northbound A406 link road to the northbound M11 being closed from 10pm on Friday 28 August until 5am on Monday 31 August. Clearly signed diversions will be in place.
