The Department of Health made £648 million available to local authorities in 2011/12 for social care activities that also benefit health.

A letter from David Flory, Deputy NHS Chief Executive and David Behan, Director General Social Care, requests information from PCT Finance Directors to establish how the social care funding is being used. A data collection tool is also available.
