New ministerial appointment July 2016: Leader of the House of Commons
David Lidington is the new Leader of the House of Commons following Theresa May's appointment as Prime Minister.
The Queen has been please to approve the appointment of Rt Hon David Lidington as Leader of the House of Commons and Lord President of the Council.
