Minister for the Middle East condemns bombing in Iran

Foreign Office Minister Alistair Burt has spoken after a bomb attack this morning on a military parade in Mahabad, north-western Iran.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Speaking after the bombing which killed 10 people and injured at least 20 the Minister for the Middle East said:

“I condemn in the strongest possible terms the terrible attack in Mahabad today. This horrific bombing underlines the need to stand together against terrorism wherever it rears its head. My thoughts are with the families of those who have lost their lives, and the many injured.”
