For the third year running, the British Ambassador and a team from the British Embassy in Copenhagen will be at Denmark’s major political festival, Folkemødet, on Bornholm.

On Friday 12 June, Ambassador Vivien Life will host a free English Breakfast followed by an EU-debate co-organised with Politiken. Vivien Life will be in conversation with Politiken’s editor, Bo Liedegaard, on the position of the UK within the EU.

The British Ambassador will also take part in other debates on EU-affairs and global culture as well as hosting an English Afternoon Tea Party on Friday to celebrate the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta, the charter that set out the principles of freedom and the rule of law as agreed by King John of England at Runnymede, near Windsor on 15 June 1215.

Furthermore, the British Embassy will invite guests at Folkemødet to take part in a quiz where you can test your knowledge on the Free Trade Agreement currently being negotiated between the EU and the USA. You can meet the Embassy quiz team at Gæstgiveren, at Dansk Erhverv’s tent and at Europascenen during the festival.
