Illegal animal medicines: prosecution of Mr Anthony Taylor

On 20 March 2014 at South Sefton Magistrates Court, Mr Anthony Taylor was found guilty of 5 offences under the Veterinary Medicines Regulations:

  • 3 charges of supply of unauthorised veterinary medicines purporting to be Drontal Plus
  • 1 charge of supply of an unauthorised veterinary medicines purporting to be Frontline
  • 1 charge of possession of an unauthorised veterinary medicines purporting to be Drontal Plus.

Mr Taylor was fined £200, plus £100 costs and £15 victim surcharge and ordered to pay compensation of £173.99 to be split between the 3 people that had bought the products.
