Illegal animal medicines: prosecution of Mr Anthony Taylor
Details of the prosecution of Mr Anthony Taylor for multiple offences under the Veterinary Medicines Regulations.
On 20 March 2014 at South Sefton Magistrates Court, Mr Anthony Taylor was found guilty of 5 offences under the Veterinary Medicines Regulations:
- 3 charges of supply of unauthorised veterinary medicines purporting to be Drontal Plus
- 1 charge of supply of an unauthorised veterinary medicines purporting to be Frontline
- 1 charge of possession of an unauthorised veterinary medicines purporting to be Drontal Plus.
Mr Taylor was fined £200, plus £100 costs and £15 victim surcharge and ordered to pay compensation of £173.99 to be split between the 3 people that had bought the products.
