NEWS FLASH: available funding for this competition has increased to £6 million, thanks to £1 million additional funding from NERC.

If you’re a business looking for funding in the energy industry, Innovate UK is investing up to £6 million in a competition for collaborative R&D projects and feasibility studies.

The aim is to improve efficiency, reduce cost and minimise the environmental impact of coal, natural gas and oil by encouraging technological innovation in their extraction and use.

Projects must be led by a business and all must involve a small or medium-sized enterprise.

To apply for funding you must first register.

Register by 3 June 2015 for feasibility study funding

Register by 9 April 2015 for collaborative R&D funding
