Foreign Secretary welcomes the extension of NATO mission in Libya

Foreign Secretary William Hague has welcomed the announcement that operations in Libya will be extended for 90 days.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Speaking today, the Foreign Secretary said:

“I strongly welcome the decision by the 33 NATO Allies and partner nations to extend operations in Libya for a further 90 days. This is an important reaffirmation of the international community’s resolve and determination to implement fully UNSCR 1973 and protect the people of Libya. The UK will continue to work closely with our international partners to support the legitimate aspirations and demands of the Libyan people.”
