Foreign Secretary welcomes Kenyan Prime Minister to Foreign Office

The Foreign Secretary William Hague met with Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga on 10 August at the Foreign Office.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

They discussed a range of issues, including commercial opportunities in Kenya and preparations for Kenya’s upcoming elections.

Commenting after the meeting, the Foreign Secretary said:

“Prime Minister Odinga and I agreed that we must continue to work together to build on the growing investment opportunities in Kenya for British businesses, following the excellent Kenya Investment Forum hosted by Kenya here in London. We also discussed election preparations, and I urged the Prime Minister to continue to work with all parties to deliver free, fair and peaceful elections worthy of the Kenyan people.”
