Foreign Secretary meets French Foreign Minister

Philip Hammond met Laurent Fabius, France's Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development, in Paris today.

During this first bilateral meeting, the two ministers discussed, among other issues, the common fight against ISIL, support to the resolution of the crisis in Ukraine, reform and renewal of the European Union following the appointment of the new Commission, the spread of the Ebola epidemic, as well as bilateral issues.

This meeting has confirmed the excellent state of the Franco-British cooperation, on bilateral projects as well as international issues.
