Commenting on Syrian regime’s aerial attacks on northern Lebanon yesterday, the Foreign Secretary, William Hague said:

I condemn the Syrian regime’s aerial attack on northern areas of Lebanon yesterday.

The Syrian regime has demonstrated once again its disregard for international law and the security of its neighbours. The longer the conflict in Syria goes on, the greater the risks to stability in Lebanon and the wider region. Syria must respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity

We are working with our partners in the international community to increase our efforts to bring an end to the violence.
