FCO Prosperity Fund – call for bids in Mongolia now open

FCO Prosperity Fund is inviting potential implementers to submit high quality concept note for the fund’s FY 2015/16 bidding round.

The Prosperity Fund is the FCO’s dedicated annual fund supporting prosperity work overseas. Through targeted projects, it aims to support the conditions for global and UK growth: Openness, Sustainability, Opportunity and Reputation.

The project proposal should clearly outline objective, and outcomes that support sustainability, openness and opportunity pillars of Prosperity and explain clearly how the project will deliver measurable benefits to the UK. The fund is for projects that will have high impacts on the following thematic areas:

  • Sustainability: Climate Change; Energy Security, and International Science and Innovation;

  • Openness and Opportunity: Structural economic reform, Removal of market access barriers, and Promotion of transparency and a rules-based international economic system.

The project proposal is acceptable from civil society, governments, think-thanks, and commercial organisations. To reflect the strategic nature of the programme and the need for high impact, the project is expected to be valued not less than £80,000 and completed no later than 28 Feb 2016.
