Civil news: simpler merits amendments for online case management

We've made it easier to submit merits amendments when working in the Client and Cost Management System (CCMS).

Improvements to the screens you use to submit merits amendments when working on live cases in CCMS are being introduced from 27 November 2017.

The idea is to make the screens more user-friendly and give them the same look and feel as when you make your initial application in CCMS.

The merits amendment screens can still be accessed through the same link.

You will notice 3 main changes:

  • navigation bar at the side of the page to make it simpler to switch between screens
  • date picker on relevant sections to make entering dates easier
  • multiple questions on one screen, reducing the overall number of screens needed to submit a merits amendment

We have updated our training materials to reflect these changes. You can find further guidance on submitting merits amendments on the CCMS training website.
