Charity regulator appoints Interim Managers to CG Community Council

The Charity Commission, the regulator of charities in England and Wales, has appointed Interim Managers to CG Community Council (registered charity number 502955).

The charity was placed under statutory inquiry in April 2025 to investigate concerns about its governance and financial management. 

Charles Turner and Emma Mifsud of Opus Business Advisory Group LLP have been appointed as Interim Managers of the charity to the exclusion of the charity’s trustee. The Interim Managers’ tasks include:

1. Assuming responsibility for the day-to-day management and administration of the charity, including ensuring any rents due to the charity are collected and banked appropriately.
2. Disposing of the charity’s properties in a way they consider is in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries.
3. Assessing the charity’s financial viability.

The Interim Managers were appointed in July 2026. The Commission’s inquiry into the charity remains ongoing.
