As part of Europe Day activities, Ruairí O’Connell discussed European values with students at ‘’Skenderbeu’’ Secondary School .
British Ambassador Ruairí O'Connell talks to students in Kacanik
On 13 May 2015, British Ambassador Ruairí O’Connell visited Kacanik municipality to talk with students about European values, particularly the importance of tolerance and of respecting religious diversity. He later visited the Mayor of Kacanik to discuss issues affecting the Municipality.
Addressing the students, Ambassador O’Connell said:
Kosovo is part of Europe and has always been part of European civilisation. The European Union is established on the values of human dignity, freedom, equality and solidarity and principles of democracy and rule of law. These European values are Kosovo’s values.
