Book of condolence for Lady Thatcher at the British Residence in Athens

A book of condolence will open at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Athens until Wednesday 17 April

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Following the death of Lady Thatcher on 8 April, a book of condolence will open at the British Ambassador’s Residence (2 Loukianou Street, Kolonaki) from Wednesday 10 April (11:00 – 14:00) and until Wednesday 17 April (except on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 April).

In the Embassy and Residence the Union flag is flying at half mast following the announcement.

Lady Thatcher died on 8 April 2013 in London at the age of 87. Serving from 1979 to 1990, she was the UK’s first female Prime Minister and the longest serving of the 20th century.

Lady Thatcher will receive a Ceremonial funeral with military honours at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral. Further details will be made available in due course.
