Responsibilities

The minister’s responsibilities include:

  • child protection (including protection from child sexual exploitation) and local authority social care

  • children in care, care leavers and adoption

  • special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

  • character and resilience, including bullying, cadets and military ethos

  • school sport and personal, social and health education (PSHE)
