Detail of outcome

This report summarises the response to the proposals for Joint Targeted Area Inspections of services to evaluate how local agencies work together to protect children.

It also outlines the main learning points arising from the pilot inspection undertaken to test these proposals and the next steps the inspectorates plan to take.

Later in the report we summarise the response to proposals about whether Ofsted could use a version of the joint framework to undertake targeted inspections of local authorities.
