The Secretary of State for Defence published a white paper, ‘Reserves in the future force 2020: valuable and valued’, on 3 July 2013, which sets out our plans to sustain and grow our reserve forces. The white paper was informed by our public consultation.

Consultation description

On 5 July 2012, the Secretary of State for Defence responded to the ‘Review of the United Kingdom’s reserve forces’ published on 18 July 2011. Given the scale of change required, he requested the Ministry of Defence carry out a formal public consultation.
