Detail of outcome

This stakeholder briefing document is for the new West Coast Partnership (WCP) which the government announced in November 2016 would combine the InterCity West Coast (ICWC) franchise and High Speed 2 (HS2) services.

This document provides information about the WCP including the government’s vision and objectives for the WCP and a summary of the specification in the WCP invitation to tender.

It summarises the responses to the public consultation on the ICWC services, carried out between May and August 2016. It also provides the government’s response and explains how your thoughts have informed the WCP specification.
