Detail of outcome

This ‘Stakeholder briefing document’ for the Essex Thameside franchise competition summarises the responses to the consultation that was carried out in 2012 (started February 2012) and provides the government’s response to it. It also provides a description of what has been included in the new Invitation to tender for the franchise competition and sets out what this might mean for stakeholders when the new franchise begins in September 2014.

Consultation description

This consultation document seeks views from stakeholders on the specification that will be provided to shortlisted bidders for the next Essex Thameside franchise.

The new Essex Thameside franchise is due to begin in May 2013 and will be based on the services presently operated by c2c.
