Detail of outcome
This report sets out how the consultation was undertaken, summarises the general themes raised and responds to those themes. The report also describes the route ahead for the project.
On 4 December the government announced that plans to toll the A14 would not go ahead. However, as opinion on tolling has formed such a significant element in the consultation process, this document continues to provide a summary of the representations received on this issue.
Proposed scheme for improving the A14 around Cambridge and Huntingdon, together with widening works on the A1 between Alconbury and Brampton, over a total length of about 25 miles. The scheme is considered best able to meet both strategic and local needs on this route.
We want to hear what you think about the options we have considered and the solution we have proposed, including proposals on how tolling might operate.
