Business rates: proposal to alter the rating list forms
The VO7012 forms are for appeals to the 2010 rating list and the 2017 rating list (Wales only) for business rates (often referred to as non-domestic rates).
For England, you can use the check and challenge service to update the 2017 rating list.
The VO 7012 form may be used to make an appeal to alter an entry in the 2010 rating list in limited circumstances and to the 2017 rating list for Wales. The guidance notes give full advice on how to complete the form.
The 2010 rating list is closed and appeals can only be made in limited circumstances. You may appeal within 6 months of a VOA notice of alteration. A proposal made citing a decision of a Valuation Tribunal, or higher court, must be made no later than 30 September 2017.
