Plans for the funding include:

  • creation of a new walking and cycle pathway along the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal towpath
  • refurbishing the Grade II listed Town Hall

Benefits for Kidderminster

The investment is expected to:

  • improve connections in the town
  • make the town more accessible
  • increase visitor numbers

The Levelling Up Fund investment complements other projects in the town funded by the Future High Streets Fund. All projects support Wyre Forest Council’s 2040 vision for Kidderminster.
