This is a joint call for evidence carried out with the Ministry of Justice. We are seeking views on the role and impact of claims management activity in housing disrepair claims. This is to make sure the system of redress is as fair and effective as possible.
We are focusing on cases where tenants consider seeking redress through the County Court by bringing a claim against their landlord for housing disrepair and the role of claims management activity in this process.
We invite response from tenants, landlords, legal professionals and claims management companies. We would like to know about:
- their experiences of housing disrepair claims
- how the current process works
- what they think doesn’t work or is unclear
