Details

The project will deliver an evaluation of G2G capability in forecasting for rapid response catchments. This can be used to inform the level of service that can be provided by G2G for operational use.

The project will look at the advantages of using ensemble rainfall forecasts as input to a distributed hydrological model to produce probabilistic flood forecasts in rapid response catchments. It’s developing examples of how the results of these ensemble forecasts can be visually presented in an intuitive way.

The expected completion date is winter 2023/24.
