1. Temporary Event Notice

If you wish to hold an ad-hoc event in England/Wales involving the sale of alcohol provision of regulated entertainment or late night refreshment you must give a temporary event notice TEN to your local licensing authority no later than 10 working days before the event normal TEN or between 5 and 9 working days before the event Late TEN. If the premises where the event is to be held is in areas governed by two or more local authorities applications must be made to each. You must be 18 years or older to give a TEN and can give a maximum of 5 TENs per year. If you are a personal licence holder you can give a maximum of 50 TENs per year. Your event must involve no more than 499 people at any one time & last no more than 168 hours with a min of 24 hrs between events. The authority will charge £21 that you will pay online to process your application. The fee is the same if you apply online or by post-businesslink.gov.uk or UK Welcomes do not charge an additional fee for online applications
