1. Application for need for a Designated Premises Supervisor to be disapplied
To supply alcohol, provide regulated entertainment or to provide late night refreshment from any premises within Newport City Council's administrative district, you need a premises licence from Newport City Council (the Licensing Authority).Where an application is granted in respect of a Church or Village Hall or similar, and the Licence authorises the supply of alcohol and the Licence is held by the management committee, an application may be made to disapply the requirement to have a DPS named on the Licence and instead have the management committee to authorise each supply of alcohol.
2. Provisional statement
To supply alcohol, provide regulated entertainment or to provide late night refreshment from any premises within Newport City Council's administrative district, you need a premises licence from Newport City Council (the Licensing Authority).
A provisional statement gives assurance on whether a premises licence will be granted provided that there are no change in circumstances, as all representations would have been considered.
