The Radio Spectrum (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

Ahead of the UK’s exit from the European Union, the UK Government is seeking to use powers under Section 8 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 to correct deficiencies in existing UK and EU legislation resulting from EU Exit and to retain the status quo in respect of the management of radio spectrum.

This SI was laid before Parliament on 20 December 2018 under the negative procedure.

Sifting committees’ recommendation

The sifting committees agreed with the government that this statutory instrument does not have to have a debate in parliament, though one may still occur.
