4. How to apply

To apply for Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs) send either the:

  • ‘DSA1 full’ form - if you’re only applying for DSA and no other student finance
  • DSA slim’ form - if you’ve already applied for other student finance, eg a Tuition Fee Loan

If you want to apply for student finance, do it before you apply for DSAs.

If you’ve already applied for other student finance, use ‘DSA1 slim’ and give your Customer Reference Number (CRN) in the form.

Claim for reimbursement form

You might be able to claim back money you spend during the year on things like photocopying or printer ink cartridges.

The ‘entitlement’ letter you get after your needs assessment will tell you what you can claim for.

Use the ‘claim for reimbursement’ form to make a claim.
