Replacement derivative residence cards

You can no longer apply for a replacement derivative residence card.

If your card is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, you’ll need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme.

You’ll need to have reasonable grounds for why you could not apply by the deadline of 30 June 2021. For example, you have a medical condition, or were the victim of domestic violence.

If your passport has expired

You cannot transfer your card to a new passport.

You can still use your existing card if it’s valid, but when you travel you must also show both:

  • your new passport
  • your old passport, if it includes your derivative residence card
