Check if you will get a refund automatically
You do not need to contact UKVI to get a refund if:
-
you cancelled your application
-
your application was refused
-
you paid twice for the same period – for example, when extending or switching your visa
-
you got less time on your visa than you applied for
It will be automatically paid to the account or card you paid with. This can take up to 6 weeks.
If someone else paid the IHS on your behalf, they will get the IHS refund.
