Bird flu: near Wells-next-the-sea, North Norfolk, Norfolk (AIV 2023/06)

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in poultry and captive birds on 12 January 2023.

27 March 2023: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the zones, the 3km protection zone has ended and the area that formed the protection becomes part of the surveillance zone.

The birds on the premises have been humanely culled.
