Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance around a premises near Preesall, Wyre, Lancashire (AIV 2025/86), the captive bird (monitoring) controlled zone has been revoked.
Affected birds on the premises have been humanely culled.

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in captive birds near Preesall, Wyre, Lancashire.
A 3km Captive Bird (Monitoring) Controlled Zone has been declared around the premises. Affected birds on the premises will be humanely culled.
