Bird flu: near Leven, East Riding of Yorkshire, Yorkshire (AIV 2023/24)

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in commercial poultry on 13 April 2023.

Update 16 May 2023: Update 16 May 2023: following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the zones, the 10km surveillance zone has been revoked.

Update 7 May 2023: following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the zones, the 3km protection zone has ended and the area becomes part of the 10km surveillance zone.

All poultry on the premises have been humanely culled.
