Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in non-commercial poultry near Lawshall, Babergh, Suffolk on 18 November 2025.

Following successful completion of disease control activity and surveillance within the zone surrounding a premises near Lawshall, Babergh, Suffolk (AIV 2025/106), the surveillance zone has been revoked.

Following successful completion of disease control activity and surveillance within the zone surrounding a premises near Lawshall, Babergh, Suffolk (AIV 2025/106), the protection zone has ended and the area that formed it becomes part of the surveillance zone.
All poultry on the premises have been humanely culled.

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in a small backyard flock of poultry near Lawshall, Babergh, Suffolk (AIV 2025/106).
A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone has been declared around the premises. All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled.
