Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in backyard poultry near Chedburgh, West Suffolk, Suffolk on 3 December 2025.

Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance in the zone around a premises near Chedburgh, West Suffolk, Suffolk (AIV 2025/119), the protection zone has ended, and the surveillance zone has been revoked.

All birds on the premises have been humanely culled.

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in a backyard flock of poultry and other captive birds near Chedburgh, West Suffolk, Suffolk (AIV 2025/119).

A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone has been declared around the premises. All birds on the premises will be humanely culled.

This revokes the declaration of an avian influenza protection zone and surveillance zone.
