Bird flu: near Burscough, West Lancashire, Lancashire (AIV 2022/101)

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in captive birds on 9 October 2022.

27 January: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the zone, the 3km captive bird (monitoring) controlled zone has been revoked.

The birds on the premises have been humanely culled.
