Disabled access
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office are keen to ensure that their buildings and services are fully accessible to disabled members of the public. Wherever possible, we have made our buildings and services accessible.
Access to the High Commission building may sometimes be constrained by security considerations and the current layout of access routes and facilities. However, reception and security staff can provide appropriate assistance to disabled visitors to ensure access to services.

General physical access
- visitors to the High Commission building will enter through the 255 Hill Street entrance. Prior notification is advisable
- our toilet facilities can accommodate wheelchairs
- in case of an emergency, procedures are in place to assist disabled persons
- guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome
- the Public Address system can be heard from all rooms within the building
- hearing loops, minicoms and text phones are not installed. Staff do not use sign language
