Our mission
We develop and maintain good relations between the United Kingdom and Finland. We work on a wide range of political, economic, defence and EU issues. We have a large, dedicated, trade and investment team and are part of the science and innovation network, which together supports UK commercial activity in Finland to increase economic growth and prosperity in the UK.
We work to support UK policies on Europe, increase trade and investment, and provide consular services to Britons in Finland. We support the work of the Northern Future Forum, which brings together heads of government from across the Nordic Baltic region and the UK to identify and address important issues facing our citizens.
We have shared interests with Finland in trade liberalisation, international security, conflict prevention and resolution, especially in the Middle East, and we exchange expertise on civilian crisis management and peace mediation.
