Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of injuries as the safety guard does not provide adequate protection. As a result, if the user were to lose control of the machine, they may receive cuts or other injuries from the blade. The product is not marked with sufficient warnings and some of the required documentation/markings are not present. Additionally, the charger supplied has insufficient creepage and clearance distances and the breakdown isolation does not meet insulation requirements. The plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008. The charger and plug do not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
